Abstract

With the consideration of the non-thermal electrons distribution, the head-on collision between two cylindrical/spherical dust ion-acoustic solitary waves (DIASW) in un-magnetized dusty plasmas is investigated. By using the extended Poincaré-Lighthill-Kuo (PLK) perturbation method, the non-planar geometry modified analytical phase shifts following the head-on collision are derived. The effects of the ion temperature, the dust number density, and the non-thermal electrons on the phase shift are studied. It is shown that the properties of the head-on collision of DIASW in different geometry are very different. It is also important to note that the phase shifts induced by the collision of compressive and rarefactive DIASW are also different.
